A ripe and friendly style, with a crowd pleasing beam of cassis and cherry preserve flavors, laced with light vanilla and red licorice notes. The rounded finish reveals a flash of singed herbs, but the fruit wins out easily 89 points, Wine Spectator
"Our 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is distinguished by its dark profile and deep, decadent flavors, representative of the cool vintage. Aromas of black plums and cherry pie are elevated by layers of spice cake and caramelized vanilla. Boysenberry jam introduces the palate, supported by black fruit and swirls of rich cocoa. Barrel influence is evident in the complex structure and toasty spices that accompany the dark chocolaty tannins into a long, lively finish. This wine makes a fine accompaniment to braised short ribs or pasta carbonara."
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa leads with a spicy black currant-laced nose over notions of blueberry preserves, pencil shavings and menthol plus a hint of chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-filling black berry flavors with a chewy backbone and some dried herbs lifting the finish.
