Rioja releases wine ready to drink, they do the waiting for us so we can simply swirl, sip and enjoy! This 2012 is at an amazing point in its development. It is drinking BEAUTIFULLY. The new and used American oak barrels are integrated to perfection. The wine is a “deep red. Lively, spice accented red berry and dried cherry aromas...smooth and expansive on the palate” (Raynolds, Vinous, 91pts 2/19). We found notes of cherry, raspberry and mocha with a smoky minerality. This is a Quintessential Rioja! We suggest enjoying a bottle or two now and another bottle or two for later. 93 pts Bayway 10/20.
