Wine Spectator 88 points - Currant, red berry and green herbal flavors dominate this edgy, full-bodied red. Shows plenty of acidity on the flinty finish, balanced by some smoky notes. Drink now through 2019. 100,000 cases made.

Firm, with a frame of toasty vanilla that holds the medium-weight core of red and black cherry fruit in check. Direct finish. Drink now.
|The acquisition of Los Vascos by Les Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1988 was the result of a careful search among more than 100 Chilean wines for one that could meet the Rothschild criteria for excellence. The property has been completely renovated, both in viticulture and viniculture. With over 2,200 contiguous hectares, 530 are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (95%) and Chardonnay (5%). Los Vascos is the largest vineyard in the Caneten Valley of Colchagua and can easily maintain its, “Estate Grown, Hand Picked, Hand Sorted, Estate Bottled” status.
