Wine Spectator 84 points - Rustic aromas of sun-baked fields and cooked black plums and dark berries here, with a mouth-watering earthiness marked by a slight smokiness and pleasing fruitiness. Mouth-drying finish from a fine food wine.
"The 2008 BONS VENTOS (branded just that way now) is a blend of Castelao (50%), with the rest Camarate (20%), Touriga Nacional (15%) and Tinta Miuda (15%) aged in new oak for 4 months. This inexpensive offering can provide some value in the right vintage, and it is in pretty good form here, clean and tasty, with some brightness, focus and structure. There is not a lot of mid-palate concentration, but it has some charm and provides some bang for the buck and some pleasure. Just drink it young, as it is at peak now. Drink now-2012." -WS 84
