Ultimate Beverage Challenge 91 points - Bursting with tropical fruit and grass, all following through on the palate, along with inviting peppery notes. Pair with oysters. (May 2012)
The vintage 2011 classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is blended from vineyards across Marlborough to capture all the flavors that this region is famous for. 30% of this wine was sourced from Mud House's Woolshed Vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley while the remainder was carefully selected from grower blocks in the Wairau, Ure and Awatere Valleys of Marlborough. This wine undergoes 100% stainless steel fermentation. This Sauvignon Blanc has super lively pink grapefruit, lime, tangerine citrus, an expert mix of sweet and sour. Complementary nectarine, green apple fruit flavors set it strongly in the mouth, the acidity gives it added presence, the finish remains fluid and flexible. Delivers a lot for the price!
