Dry, lively wine, slightly petillant, with a slightnose of golden delicious apples and a hint of honey. The taste is harmonious and lasting.
Winemaker's Notes: This straw yellow wine displays precise and intense scents of white fruits (particularly pears and Golden Delicious apples) as well as delicate spicy notes. The consistency of a red grape variety - evident in spite of the wine’s lack of tannins and the fact that it is vinified in the same way as a white wine – as well as its marked, penetrating tanginess are the hallmarks of its particular taste profile, making this a wine with a very distinctive personality and surprising versatility.

| In 1981 Santa Margherita presented its own Chardonnay, a new, fine white wine with a different style. It had a younger, fruitier taste than the other Chardonnay available, which generally favoured the use of malolactic fermentation and a finishing process in French oak cask.
After soft pressing, the must is left to ferment for 15 days at 18° C. The wine is then stored at a controlled temperature of 15° - 16° C. in special stainless-steel tanks until bottling.
