For over 25 years, Sin Zin has been produced from Alexander Valley grapes, helping to define the valley's Zinfandel profile: A bright, expressive nose bursting with red fruits and a palate loaded with rich cherries, raspberries, strawberries and black pepper. Hard to stop with just one glass!
| Wine maker notes |
| We've nicknamed this wine "Original Sin." It's a reference to the fact that long before the advent of quirky names for Zinfandel, we at AVV decided a playful and unique name was fitting for our Alexander Valley Zin. What Zinheads have discovered over the past three decades however, is that this is very much a serious wine. In fact, the Beverage Testing Institute scored the 2008 93 Points and called the wine a "Best Buy." The 2008 Sin Zin delivers heady aromas of black cherry, eucalyptus, cocoa and mint and flavors of black cherry, plum, vanilla and black pepper. A perfect wine to enjoy with ribs, pulled pork or a chile cheeseburger. |
