Our exceptional run of vintages here in Oregon continues with 2018. The season started on a slightly wet and cool note, leading to late bud break, but things caught up quickly. After dry weather and occasional heat spikes in July and August, the end of summer brought comfortable temperatures, a little rainfall, and the perfect set up for harvest. All in all, a wonderful vintage that has produced a terrific Cloudline. The 2018 Cloudline Pinot Noir expresses the joy of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir in a clear, accessible, fruit-forward manner. In the glass, it’s a beautiful garnet color, and on the nose, there is a classic array of earth, bing cherries, lilac, and allspice.—Winery Notes
