Steve Tanzer 90 points - The 2012 Vega Sindoa Cabernet Sauvignon spent 10-15 months in French oak. Its dense purple color is followed by notes of tobacco leaf, spice box, licorice and cassis. This medium-bodied Cabernet could easily compete with top Bordeaux cru bourgeois wines that sell for 2-3 times the price. This is another amazing value.
"Bright purple. Sexy aromas of boysenberry, cherry-cola, oak spices and rose. Smooth, expansive black and blue fruit flavors show good concentration and clarity, with vanilla and licorice notes adding complexity. Tannins come on late and fold smoothly into the plush fruit on the long, smoky finish. This wine went through malolactic fermentation and aging in small French oak casks." - Tanzer
