From the heart of Umbria, "Contrario" represents Antonelli's new way of interpreting the Sagrantino grape, cultivated and vinified in such a way as to be enjoyable young, an easily drinkable wine. Fermentation is done in both stainless steel and cement vats to help reduce the tannins. The result is a Sagrantino possessing a rich and intense nose with marked notes of cherry, wild berries and white grapefruit citrus. In the mouth it has the sturdiness the grape is known for while staying elegant, fresh and approachable in its youthful state today. Ideal for hearty stews, thicker cuts of beef and semi-matured cheeses.
