This wine has an expressive bouquet and good balance on the palate coming from the notes of raspberries and cherries, enlivened by a touch of spice and a depth of vanilla. Nice fruit in the mouth with good structure that is highlighted with smooth tannins.
|The winery on the Kranachberg has been family-owned since 1860 - and for more than 100 of these years, it was run as a mixed agriculture farm. Under my father´s management, the focus was placed more and more on wine growing, and the vineyards were expanded from six hectares to nine hectares. Since 1999, our family operation has been dedicated solely to wine growing. Of course, we still maintain the Buschenschank as well.
Presently, we cultivate 20 hectares of vineyards, which are planted at the sites of Kranachberg and Jagerberg with the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Welschriesling, Scheurebe and Gelber Muskateller.
