A unanimous wine managers' choice. The 2010 Pont de Nyons could actually be labeled Cairanne-Cotes-du-Rhone-Villages, but the declassification to just plain Cotes-du-Rhone may allowed the producer to move part of this vintage at a lower price. We were all taken with the powerful aromas of ripe red fruits with a hint of black pepper and herbs. Medium-bodied and loaded with those red fruits, the Pont de Nyons carries on to a good, long finish. A fabulous buy! Our least talkative taster summed it all with "Outstanding!"
