The vineyards of the chateau hug the sides of a rocky outcrop, typical of the high Corbieres (argilo-calcaire). 50% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 20% Syrah, robust red fruit asserts itself with nicely concentrated black pepper and leathery, spicy accents. Displays the traditional rusticity of the region's wines combined with uncommon richness of fruit. Try with beef stews, wild game, or fatty duck dishes.
