Wine Spectator 94 points - The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) displays a firm, dry, Bordeaux-like structure, deep, concentrated, plum, anise and black currant flavors. The abundant fruit is accompanied by lots of structure in this earthy, full-bodied, well-built, muscular Cabernet. Forget it for several years and drink it over the following two decades.
Offers a racy aroma, but tames quickly, with a dill-tinged edge to the tiers of dark berry, mocha, raspberry and subtle earth, gaining depth and maintaining persistence on the finish. Best from 2014 through 2027.—J.L.
"Striking, rich and opulent, elegant and refined, with ripe, dense blackberry, melted black licorice and touches of cinnamon and baking spice. Ends with fine-grained, detailed tannins. Best from 2013 through 2027." - Wine Spectator
|Altamura Vineyards and Winery, established in 1985 by Frank and Karen Altamura, is the only winery in Wooden Valley, located within the Napa Valley appellation. Napa natives Frank and Karen have a decidedly hands-on approach to every step of the growing and winemaking process. Thus, a natural production limit is established and the wines reflect the Altamura's deep commitment to reflecting the terroir of their Wooden Valley Ranch.
