A classy nose: the oak is abundant, but entirely controlled. It allows those blood orange and kumquat notes that are no stranger to this distillery to flourishm, as well as a midly bourbony dry liquorice; Taste : Such a soft landing... the barley is intense, sweet yet never overly so while the oaks again have a presence yet keep their distance, being happy to inject a busy spice kick in to the middle ground; the oils are soft, lightly sweetened and lingering; Finish : Delicate, some over-ripe, dry banana and a light dusting of muscovado sugars.
