Barbera is to the locals in the Piedmont what regular Chianti is to Tuscans - a great everday wine for pairing with a variety of foods including pasta, pizza, veal, pork, chicken and duck. With a medium-dark garnet color and aromas of red berry fruit, it's on the light side of medium body and offers a supple texture and juicy red fruit going on to a fairly long finish.
