For a while there it seemed that all the NZ Sauvignons coming our way were far to grapefruit-dominant. It seems, however, that some Kiwi winemakers have overcome that problem, producing more elegant versions. Such is the 2010 Stoneburn Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough: aromas of citrus fruit with herbaceous hints, medium-bodied, crisp and fine, a perfect accompaniment for sea food, particularly shrimp, scallops, crab, and sole.
