This seems to offer the best of both worlds: something between Malbec from its origin (Bordeaux/Cahors), and the version from its adoptive land, Argentina. It's as velvety and juicy as the Argentine Malbecs, but without the tobacco and leather tones that are common in those wines. Silky and sumptuous, the Marc Roman offers concentrated red and black fruit, particularly plum. Unlike Malbec from Cahors, this displays very little tannin - one might describe it in Parkerese as "hedonistic" - pure pleasure, no need to cellar.
