The Laubade EXTRA is the quintessence of the house’s blends. The superbly rich and expressive nose develops aromas of prune, licorice, honey, toast, cocoa, dried fruits, exotic wood, with fine notes of walnuts, hazelnut and tobacco leaves.
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 94 points - Nutmeg and raisin aromas are pungent on the nose. In the mouth flavors of dried fig, mace, and rice pudding fit nicely into the silky texture and medium body. The finish is bright and up-lifting with hints of burnt toffee.

The eaux-de-vie that make up this blend, all of which are aged more than 30 years, come from Laubade's vines and have been aged in traditional 400-litre oak barrels constructed on site by the property's own cooper. Even the tree on the label has significance for Laubade, representing the first tree planted on the estate by Maurice Lesgourgues in 1974, when he bought the property and began its renaissance.
