Sour Apples and citrus, tropical fruit notes, balanced acidity, wine for any occasion.
"GV" is highly praised by sommeliers for its exceptional food-pairing qualities. It goes so well with a vast range of dishes, from mild to spicy. Grooner is highly aromatic, with apple, citrus and peach. On the palate those flavors are balanced by a zesty, slightly spritzy texture and a hint of white pepper. Long on the finish and marvelously refreshing, a great wine for everyday sipping, but do not fail to try it with almost any food that doesn't call for red wine. Especially recommended with Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indian and Mexican food, but it’s also a killer with even mild seafood dishes.

| Over the last few years, Grüner Veltliner has become very popular in fine restaurants and upscale retailers in the US, as wine savvy people began catching on to this versatile grape. But when we did in-store tastings of our numerous Grüner Veltliners, there were still many people who had never heard of Grüner Veltliner...and even fewer could pronounce it. We saw a niche that needed to be filled and decided to create a brand specifically for the US market: GROONER. We have collaborated with Meinhard Forstreiter, one of our finest winemakers, to create an accessible, easy drinking and refreshing Grüner Veltliner that appeals to wine lovers as well as new wine drinkers and cost conscious customers. Crisp, dry and delicious, GROONER has a hip, eye catching label and comes in snazzy cartons. |
