A recent tasting finds the 2005 Rully "Les Cloux" still quite youthful. The color is light gold, the nose a complex blend of pear, apple, tropical fruit, and vanilla (French oak). On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with enough acidity to suggest that if cellared properly this wine will improve in at least the medium term and become even finer than it is today, but even at present it would make a fine match for foie gras, lobster, or fish dishes with cream sauce.
