"The signature honey aroma is still there and intact but a subtle smokiness appears to have developed adding extra depth. Busy delivery with the mildly waxy barley having much to say: spice prickle early on followed by some early chocolate toffee. Luxuriant mouthfeel, the honey now tends towards the honeycomb variety and then Canadian, but still plenty of toffee which hushes proceedings. A lovely whisky which could be improved overnight to true brilliance by simply increasing the strength to the 46% that malt lovers these days expect and a reduction in the colour. A non-chill filtered, non-coloured policy would see this become a Premiership dram in the time it takes to brew the coffee for the marketing meeting which decides it." -Jim Murray, "Whisky Bible" 89 points
