This wine is a good introduction to modern Portuguese red wines. Made largely from indigenous grape varieties with some Syrah it shows good Portuguese typicity but is not overpowering and has flavours familiar to those who aren't that familiar with the new flavours that Portugal has to offer the adventurous wine enthusiast.
