Review:
This is an excellent wine and vintage at a very reasonable price, way lower than you could ever buy it in a store in the USA. Marques de Borba Reserva has been a favorite of mine for a long time and I was pleasantly surprised to find it available thru Bayway and even more surprised at the price. Their service was excellent, they took care not to ship the wine when the weather was way below freezing and kept me infrmed of the shipment date.

Producer
Casa Marcolino Sebo is a Portuguese family run business officially founded on 15-05-1975, and connected to the grape-growing area over the past 30 years. For over 25 years the business was totally devoted to the grape-growing, and the grapes were delivered to the Adega Cooperativa de Borba (local wine growers association). Due to the growing increase in the vineyard area combined with the dream of the company owner Marcolino Sebo of producing his own wine, the project of building a wine cellar came to light. At the turn of the century, in the year 2000, Marcolino Sebo featured 130 hectares divided into seven plots of vineyards located between Borba and Estremoz with clay-limestone and clay-schist soils. It was in this very year that he started his winemaking activity and one year later he was already bottling and marketing his own wine.
