The reds of the The Cotes du Rhone region are fruity, soft, easy-drinking wines at a very reasonable price. Like their big brother Chateauneuf-du-Pape, they are generally Grenache-based, supplemented by other regional varieties, especially Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan and Mourvedre.

Vines have managed to create a complete history. That of a family and of a future, who, without it, would have been in vain. So in order to respect those who preceded us and those who, now and later, will succeed us, we must preserve it. We owe our origins, our passions and our vocations, but also our brand name, to Louis, Catherine’s father; he was an adventurous entrepreneur, a passionate go-getter. It was in the context of the vineyards, nearly forty years ago, that Catherine met Robert, who was to become the indispensable complement in the creation of this family. Inspired by the same passion, the same culture and the same ethic, it was therefore only natural that from the very beginning, they should found a family and a brand: les Vignobles Mousset-Barrot. Joining their two family names together was not only the symbol of their marriage, but it also enabled them to graft onto their tree a new branch, full of hope, which has guaranteed the continuity of the Mousset-Barrot line of descent. Their two daughters, Gaëlle and Amélie, are now operating the Estates under the benevolent eye (he must keep his hand in!) of Papa (Robert) and the demanding nose of Fred, Gaëlle’s śnologist-husband. And watch out, the fourth generation of young growths is already growing...
