We were all impressed by the 2010 Estampa Estate Malbec - the inclusion of 35% Petite Sirah gives it a greater complexity and structure than what we're used to in Malbec and serves as a great example of why blending certain varietals can produce great wines. Very deep, almost inky purple in color, with aromas of red and black fruits and a hint of primary fermentation aromas. On the palate it's somewhere between medium and full body, well structured and concentrated, echoing the red and black fruits. It seems unusually complex and interesting for an under $10 Malbec.
